Paragliding Training
We offer discovery courses to introduce you to paragliding. From there, you can continue your training all the way to obtaining your pilot certification.
Paragliding training is a gradual process, divided into four modules that include ground handling on a training slope, instructional tandem flights, inflation exercises in the wind, theoretical courses, and up to 70 solo flights:
At the end of the training, students will be able to fly independently and will have the necessary skills to take the theoretical and practical exams of the Swiss Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (FSVL). Successfully passing these exams will grant them the Swiss Free Flight License.
The training has no prerequisites, but requires good physical condition and a strong commitment. Ideally, students should be available to complete the full training within a year. Training is open to everyone from 14 years old, but the pilot license can only be obtained at 16.
Discovery Course
Get started with paragliding in a professional environment. This 3 to 4-day course is the first step toward full training, with fixed dates scheduled in advance.
With our introductory program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of paragliding in a safe environment. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you’ll practice controlling your glider on a training slope, take part in an instructional tandem flight, and experience the thrill of flying with two to three solo flights!
Full Training to Certification
After the Discovery Course, we offer a structured training program to guide you toward earning your paragliding license. Training takes place year-round, adapting to weather conditions and your availability.
Our complete training allows you to obtain the FSVL paragliding license. The program includes theory lessons, practical ground handling exercises, and up to 70 solo flights, preparing you to become an independent pilot.

Once the Discovery Module is completed, you can continue your training with our complete modules or opt for a per-flight payment:

Students who complete all four modules with ElementAir can fly up to 70 solo flights at no extra cost. After this, flights cost CHF 30 per flight. The theory module is included in the full training.
After 50 solo flights, including an independent flight certified by an instructor, students can take the practical exam.
Note: Transportation costs and ski lift passes are not included in the training price.
